What wildlife lives here?

Short video of Orchard Park garden wildlife Autumn 2012

It’s brilliant that some local residents are interested in our wildlife, and want to help make OP better for wildlife and people. I was saddened today (11/01/15) though at the attitude of some of the children at the skate park whilst OPWP volunteers cleared litter from the Wildlife Area, one individual asked what we were doing and told me “nothing lives here, I can assure you”……. well in fact, OP has a long and growing list of species, not bad for an urban area. Click on the link below to see the list of animals and plants that have been recorded in OP (across all areas, not just the Wildlife Area) during the last few years. Thanks to the Wildlife Trust for Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire, Tim and Carol Inskipp, and the Zoology Museum of Cambridge University for providing most of the species on this list.
