Saturday was quite calm with little to no wind, so I took a walk over to the wildlife area. On the way I heard Great Tits, Blue Tits, Goldfinches, and when I arrived at the far end of the narrow strip, a Robin was on a tall tree (singing post) singing loudly and clearly. Lovely to hear. There’s a short recording of the song at:
and although there’s a rumble of background traffic noise, in real life it was the bird that was making the loudest, and by far most pleasing sound. You can also hear a Blue Tit in the middle of the recording. If you try hard you might be able to spot the Robin in the photo above… pic and sound was recorded on my phone, so apologies for the poor quality.
